Our Approach

Unlike most coaching programs, The Butterfly Bush emphasizes building a larger community of practice that centers spiritual and emotional well-being as the foundation for other aspects of health.

At The Butterfly Bush, community is not simply a place where people meet, but where people remain, where they care for each other, even when it’s hard. A home away from home. It’s a place where members take responsibility for co-creating safety. It means paying attention and responding tenderly. Giving and receiving. If this sounds like something you want or something you need, consider our offerings. If you’re not sure what this kind of community feels like, don’t worry. We learn together.

Please note that while this community is not exclusively for Black women, we absolutely center Black women in our practice. We work from an intersectional lens that prioritizes the needs, experiences, and wisdom of the most marginalized among us. So rest assured that if you are racialized, disabled, trans, and/or queer, you have a place here.

Community needs protection. The Butterfly Bush is a hedge that nurtures a safe space for transformation.

We often carry a weighty sense of responsibility to our families and communities for the greater good. Here at The Butterfly Bush, we have a strong conviction that giving your all to others without leaving room for yourself not only puts your life and well-being at risk, it contradicts liberation.

You cannot sacrifice yourself for the greater good because there is no greater good without you in it.

If you look like you have it all together, if you’re the strong friend, or if you feel like you are constantly on the brink of lashing out, The Butterfly Bush just might be the place for you. If you are experiencing burnout and busyness and feeling the physical effects of stress in your body, and you want to slow down and learn rest, recovery, and regulation; if you want to build a holistic wellness routine that grounds you and energizes you for the work you are called to do while supporting your wholeness, we invite you to explore our offerings.

Regardless of the offering you are interested in, please book a free consultation call so that we can ensure we are a good fit for each other.
